Lesson # 751 From the Noble Quran

Insolence of God Almighty

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse –93a of 165, Section – 11 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And who is guilty of more wrong than he who forgeth a lie against Allah, or saith: I am inspired, when he is not inspired in aught; and who saith: I will reveal the like of that which Allah hath revealed?
Wa  man  ‘azlamu  mimmanif-taraa  ‘alAllaahi  kaziban  ‘aw  qaala  ‘uuhi-ya  ‘ilayya  wa  lam  yuuha  ‘ilayhi  shay-‘unw-wa  man-qaala  sa-‘unzilu  misla  maaa  ‘anzalAllaah.

Lesson

‘If-taraa-‘un  – (to forge or frame a lie), this word is made from  far-yun. Far-yun means a lie and baseless talk. ’If-taraa means to forge a lie against someone or tell something bad against such a person, which he does not have.

‘Uuhi-ya’  – (inspired), it is past passive voice, origin of which is ’ii-haa-‘un. This word has been derived from Vahii. Here, vahii means “that Message of Allah, which is inspired upon someone through an Angel. ’Ii-haa means to reveal. Then ‘uuhi-ya will be meant “revealed or inspired”.

It has been described previously that this Holy Qur’an is the Scripture of Allah Almighty, which has been sent in the world for advantage, welfare and benefits of the human beings. Its usefulness will never end. It completes and attests previous all Scriptures. Therefore, as you believe that Torah is the Scripture of God Almighty, in the same way, you should believe that It is also His Scripture and the Word. The only difference is that It is the last and final Scripture, and it has been determined as the last source of Guidance till the Day of Resurrection. It is the reason that It is called Sacred and Blessed Word of Allah Almighty, i.e. Its guidance and usefulness will never end. If you deny It, then you are the biggest tyrant. The infidels of Makkah used to say three things for denying the Holy Qur’an, which are called in this verse “the biggest tyranny”.

It is commanded: Who would be guilty of more wrong than he who forges a lie against Allah Almighty? That is to say; Allah has not revealed any Scripture, or say as: “If Holy Qur’an is a Revelation and Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is a Messenger, then I am also inspired and I am a messenger too”. Whereas, neither he is inspired, nor is he a messenger. Or he says: “I can also reveal this like Qur’an, as you say that it has been revealed by Allah”.

It manifests that, the person, who says: Allah has not revealed any Scripture, the human being is free and can do whatsoever he wants; he is an infidel. Likewise, that person, who claims that he is a messenger and he is inspired, actually he is also an infidel because, neither any messenger/prophet can come after Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), nor anyone can be inspired.

The Reason behind discontinuity of any Messenger and Revelation is that the Guidance of every sort exists in the Holy Qur’an. Neither any further guidance is required, nor anyone can bring anything better than It which may be more righteous for the humankind. Nothing is revealed unnecessarily. It is not the game of kids. While there is no need of any further revelation, then it is obvious that there is no need of any messenger after the Last Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). Now if anyone says, “I am a Messenger and I am inspired”, he is a liar according to this verse and most guilty of wrong.

Everyone will achieve one’s object after death

Lesson # 750 From the Noble Quran

Everyone will achieve one’s object after death

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse –92 of 165, Section – 11 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And this is a blessed Scripture which We have revealed, confirming that which (was revealed) before it, that thou mayst warn the Mother of Villages and those around her. And those who believe in the Hereafter believe herein, and they are careful of their worship.
Wa  haazaa  Kitaabun ‘an-zalNaahu  Mubaa-rakum-Musad-diqullazii bayna  yaday-hi  wa  li-tunzira  ‘Ummal-Quraa  wa  man  haw-lahaa. Wallaziina  yu’-minuuna  bil-‘Aakhirati yu’-minuuna  bihii  wa  hum  ‘alaa  Salaa-tihim  yuhaafizuun.

Lesson

Mubaa-rakun – (blessed), it is past participle and its origin is Mubaa-rakatun which has been derived from barakah. Barakah means “to grow naturally and to increase automatically”. Use of this word (blessing) in this sense is “inside the good things”. Bad things do not have any blessing. Past tense of Mubaa-rakah is baa-raka, which means “increased the benefit of something”. Therefore, Mubaa-raku means “most useful i.e. the thing, which has a lot of benefits.

‘Ummal-Quraa  – (the Mother of entire Villages), it is title of Makkah because it is a foundation of the population and the Guidance spread all over the world from this Place.

It was described earlier that whosoever will understand Allah Almighty maturely, will certainly believe that He has revealed the Scriptures from time to time. The believers of Torah exist before you. It was Allah, Who revealed It upon Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him). Although the followers of Torah do not act upon Its Commands completely and hide Its many parts intentionally, even then they are unable to remove Its Light and Guidance. After explaining these all matters, the purpose of Holy Qur’aan has been manifested clearly now in this verse.

It is commanded that this Holy Quran which exists before you, We have revealed this Scripture. It has uncountable beauties and It contains numberless benefits for the human being, which can never end. Those all Scriptures have been acknowledged in It as true and correct, which were revealed before It for the guidance and benefit of human beings, and the summary of every good thing, which was held into them, has been mentioned in It.

It is Our (Lord’s) Blessing and Mercy that We provided so much source of guidance for the human being, and that is the source which can never end. Nothing new can be said now for the welfare of humankind, which is out of It. Therefore, there is no need of any further Messenger and Scripture after It. Everyone have to get own advantage in accord with one’s own capacity from it and provide the advantage to others.

O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him)! You should lay a foundation to acquire Its advantage in such a manner that You should begin teaching the people of Makkah and the villages in its vicinity, and warn them from bad consequences of evil deeds and tell them method of escaping from bad consequences.

Those people, who are convinced to achieve the object of their deeds after death, certainly they will believe in this Scripture and will obey Its Commands. These people will worship regularly because regularity in the prayer is a sign that they are obedient servants. It is known from this discussion that the people, who reap advantage from Holy Qur’aan are those, who believe in Hereafter and offer their prayers timely and regularly.

Real teachings were spread by Jews but then disbelieved

Lesson # 749 From the Noble Quran

Real teachings were spread by Jews but then disbelieved

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse –91b of 165, Section – 11 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And (by which) ye were taught that which ye knew not yourselves nor (did) your fathers (know it)? Say: Allah, then leave them to their play of cavilling.
Wa  ‘ullimtum-maa  lam  ta’-lamuuu ‘antum  wa  laaa  ‘aabaaa-‘ukum. QuLillaahu,  summa  zarhum  fii  khaw-zihim  yal-‘abuun.

Lesson

Zarhum – (leave them), zar is verb of command which has been derived from wazar , which means “to leave, to give up”.
Khaw-zun– (pastime), khaw-z means “to enter into water”, then it means “to involve in some activity in such a way that one becomes unconscious about everything else. Here it aims “those thoughts in which they are lost”.
Yal-‘abuun– (play of caviling), it is resembling verb which has been derived from la-‘ab which means play, sport, game etc.

In the previous verse, it was told that the idolaters of Makkah did not believe in Holy Qur’aan because of their stubbornness, even they said that Allah has never revealed any Book upon any mankind. Then Prophet Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) was commanded that He should ask them: Who revealed Torah upon Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him), due to which, the Light and the Guidance spread in the world? Although those people do not obey Its commands properly, for whom that Scripture was revealed. Moreover, some parchments of that Book which are of their own benefit, they show them to the people, and hide those pages, in which Good News about arrival of the last Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has been described.

It is commanded that Allah Almighty taught the Jews such matters and affairs through Torah which they did not know. And not only they but even their fathers and ancestors were also unaware. And then the Jews spread those teachings in Arabian territory and you (O people of Makkah) also got some knowledge from which you and your ancestors were totally unaware.

It is evident that at that time only Jews were educated people in the Arab. Even they had told all that, which was written in Torah about Holy Qur’aan and Muhammad, the last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) before His arrival. But after His (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) arrival they denied to believe because of arrogance and stubbornness.

When the tribes of Madina (Aws and Khazraj) came to Makkah, they recognized Prophet Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) from the signs, which the Jews told them and they believed in Him as Messenger of Allah Almighty, but the Jews themselves remained deprived from the Belief. Moreover, the idolaters of Arab got more courage of denial because of them, and even they began to say that Allah has revealed never any Book.

After this, it is signified that there is no expectation from them that they will give correct answer of this question. You should say them Yourself: Torah was also revealed by Allah, after It, He revealed Gospel too, and at the end, all earlier Scriptures were finalized and completed by the Revelation of Holy Qur’aan. Even then, if they do not listen, then leave them to their play of caviling, arrogance and stubbornness. Let them waste their time in play and useless matters. They will be punished for all of it very soon. They will be destroyed in this world as well as will suffer the severest punishment in the Hereafter.

The Jews show some Parchments of Torah, but hide more

Lesson # 748 From the Noble Quran

The Jews show some Parchments of Torah, but hide more

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse –91a of 165, Section – 11 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And they did not have a true estimation of Allaah’s Glory when they said: Allaah hath naught revealed unto a human being. Say (unto the Jews who speak thus) : Who revealed the Book which Moses brought, a Light and Guidance for mankind, which ye have put on parchments which ye show, but ye hide much (thereof),
Wa  maa  Qada-rUllaaha  haqqa  qadri-Hiii  ‘iz  qaaluu  maaa  ‘anzalAllaahu  ‘alaa  basharim-min-shay’. Qul  man  ‘anzalal-Kitaabal-lazii  jaaa-‘a  bihii  Muusaa  Nuuranw-wa  Hudal-linnaasi  taj-‘aluunahuu  qaraa-tiisa  tubduunahaa  wa  tukhfuuna  kasiiraa.

Lesson

Qadaru – (they valued, appreciated, esteemed), it is in past tense origin of which is qadr. Qadr means to examine, to estimate and to fix the value of something. Here it aims “to recognize”.
Qaraa-tiisa – (parchments), it is plural of qartaas, which means sheet of any paper.

Chain of Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon Them) was described in the previous verses and it was known from the description that after creating the mankind, Allah Almighty has established this manner of their guidance that His Messengers and Prophets (peace be upon Them) would be born among them from time to time, until the arrival of His last Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).

Hearing from the Jews, the Arabian people used to know about the Prophets (peace be upon Them). Particularly they were well aware of Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him), but when Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) came and produced before them Holy Qur’aan (the Scripture of Allah Almighty), they denied clearly and said: Allah has never revealed any Book.

They have been replied against their argument, in two ways according to this verse:

1.  Certainly, you believe in Allaah Almighty but you are not aware of His Knowledge, Power and Wisdom. Therefore, you do not have a true estimation of Allah’s Glory. He has prescribed sensibly such a method for the guidance of human being that Prophets (peace be upon Them) would bring His Scripture and teach It to the people.

2.  You have even forgotten (for supporting your false scheme) that you used to believe in Moses (peace be upon Him) as Messenger of Allaah and Torah as Scripture of Allaah Almighty. Remember it and abstain from denying.

It is commanded that these people are unable to estimate the true characteristics of Allaah Almighty and deny His Power and Wisdom. Therefore, the words like “Allah did never reveal any Scripture” come out from their mouths. Say (unto the Jews who speak thus): If you believe in Torah then tell! Who revealed that Scripture which Moses brought, once which was a flambeau of the way of guidance for the people during its time? Now although they show some of Its pages but have hidden maximum of them because either they do not think of It beneficial in disclosing, or they are so much careless about It that they do not even know about them.

Going astray leads to the Hell

Lesson # 747 From the Noble Quran

Going astray leads to the Hell

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse –90 of 165, Section – 10 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Those are they whom Allah guideth, so follow their guidance. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for it. Lo! It is naught but a Reminder to (His) creatures.
‘Ulaaa-‘ikallaziina  hadAllaahu  fabi-hudaa-hu-muqtadih.  Qul-laaa  ‘as-‘alukum  ‘alayhi  ‘ajraa.  ‘In  huwa  ‘illaa  Zikraa  lil-‘aalamiin.

Lesson

Prophet Abraham, and Prophets before and after Him (peace be upon Them) were mentioned in the previous verses, and it was told by Allah Almighty: We sent them bestowing the Scripture, the Divine Law of the Religion and the Prophet-hood, so that they may guide the servants of Allaah Almighty (mankind) towards the Straight Path. They taught the people in their times and told them the Path, determined by Allaah Almighty for them.

Prophet Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is the last Messenger in this series. He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) was also appointed for the same duty, which was performed by the past Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon Them).

This subject has been described clearly in this verse, from which it is evident that since the time of humankind’s coming in this world, the Messengers and Prophets (peace be upon Them) used to come unto every nation in every time. They (peace be upon Them) have been teaching them the same way which was prescribed by the One, Who is their Creator and Lord, and which should be obeyed by everyone from the entire existing people. Its principles were the same in every time, which are three:
1.  To recognize The Creator and The Lord

2.  To recognize His Messenger and Prophet (peace be upon Him)

3.  To obey the Commands of Lord Almighty without disputing, which have been conveyed through the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).

The Scripture, which is revealed upon the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), contains original commands. According to these commands, the Prophet establishes a system of living, how to pay the rights of own, the Rights of own Lord Almighty and of the entire human beings step by step. The speed of mankind’s progress, his improvement in social, economic and political ability is regarded with a favor while these methods are determined.

Every Prophet (peace be upon Him) settled firmly a path during His time according to and keeping in view the principles, which is called the Divine Law of the Religion. In this connection, the Time of Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is the last time of the world and for this entire time (till the world ends) one Divine Law has been prescribed; the Religion - Islam. Now there is no need of any other Prophet to come.

It is commanded: O Prophet (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), those all Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon Them), who came before you in the world, entire were Followers of the straight and clear path as guided by Allaah Almighty. You (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) would have also to follow Their path and to perform the same duty, which they performed, and that method has been described in Holy Qur’aan with complete details, and the entire Guidance, Instructions, Rules and Regulations mentioned in it, have been modified and reformed properly for fulfilling the requirements of this last and final time of the world’s existence till the Hereafter.

O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him): You should tell them! I am performing this duty (telling you the right path) by the order of Allaah Almighty. For this purpose, I don’t ask of you any reward, gratuity or fee. This is a method, which Allaah Almighty has prescribed for the entire world to advise and teach, so that they would not go astray hither and thither, and follow that path easily which may lead them to their destination with ease and comfort.

Three virtues which are last point of human’s excellence

Lesson # 746 From the Noble Quran

Three virtues which are last point of human’s excellence

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verses –89 of 165, Section – 10 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Those are they unto whom We gave the Scripture and Command and Prophet-hood. But if they disbelieve therein, then indeed We shall entrust it to a people who will not be disbelievers therein.
‘Ulaaa-‘ikallaziina  ‘Aatay-Naa  humul  Kitaaba  wal-Hukma  wan-Nubuwwah.  Fa-‘inyyakfur  bihaa  haaa-‘ulaaa-‘i  faqad  wakkalNaa  bihaa  qawmal-laysuu  bihaa  bi-kaafiriin.

Lesson

Kitaabun – (Book), every written thing is called a book, whether that is small or large. Therefore, its meaning can be a magazine, a letter, a thesis and a scripture etc. anything like them. Here it aims the Scripture which Allaah Almighty bestowed upon His Messengers (peace be upon Them).

Hukma – (Command), this word has three meanings:
1.  Making decision
2.  A decision
3.  Such thing, on the basis of which, the decision is finalized; that is to say; the law. The second name of it is “Divine Law of the Religion”.
Nubuwwah – (Prophet-hood), that utmost attribute, which is bestowed by Allaah Almighty due to the purity of the heart. It is an inner thing which has direct connection with the Light of Allaah Almighty. It is the last promotion of human excellence, and whosoever acquired It, Allaah Almighty designated Him as His Messenger by bestowing His Scripture and Command upon Him (peace be upon Him). Every Messenger is a Prophet but it is not necessary that every Prophet might be a Messenger.

Everyone can be a Saint (Vali), the Prophets are special people and every Prophet is not a Messenger. The Last Messenger, our illustrious Master, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is a Saint, a Messenger, a Prophet (all in one). Apostleship and Prophet-hood ends on Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).

wakkalNaa – (We entrusted), it is in past tense and its source is tawkiil and derived from wakaalatun.  Wakaalatun  means to take the responsibility of someone’s work, the word Wakiil is derived from it, which means an agent, an ambassador, a counselor, an attorney etc. Tawkiil means to put own responsibility, under supervision of someone else. The word Mu-‘akkal has also been derived from the same origin, which means “anyone, who makes someone else responsible for his own work”.

The names of many Prophets (peace be upon Them) were mentioned in the previous verses, and it was described that these people were standard-bearers of the Guidance of Allaah Almighty. In this verse, their three virtues have been discussed which are last point of human excellence, as, Revelation of the Scripture of Allaah Almighty, Guidance and Divine Law of Religion, bestowed by God  and Bounty of Prophet-hood.

It is commanded: O Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him): We gave some of Them (peace be upon Them) our Scripture and bestowed new Divine Law of Religion and appointed all of Them Prophets (peace be upon Them). You (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) have come also towards the people with a Scripture and Guidance like Them. If these (people of Makkah) don’t believe in Your sayings, then you should not be afraid, We have already determined other people. They will accept Your Scripture and Command whole heartily and believe that You are a true Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).

This verse was revealed in Makkah before migration; it has very great prediction, which came true exactly as told by the Messenger Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) after His arrival at Madina.
