Quran Chptr 10-35 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1276)-درس قرآن

How judge ye?

Surah YUUNUS - 10 (JONAH)

 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

35.  Say:  Is there of your partners (whom ye ascribe unto Allah) one that leadeth to the Truth? Say: Allah leadeth to the Truth. Is He Who leadeth to the Truth more deserving that He should be followed, or he who findeth not the way unless he (himself) be guided? What aileth you? How judge ye?
35.  Qul  hal  min-  shura-kaaa-‘i-kum-many-yahdiii  ‘ilal-Haqq.  QuLillaahu  yahdii  lil-Haqq.  ‘Afa-manyyahdiii  ‘ilal-Haqqi  ‘ahaqqu  ‘anyyut-taba-‘a  ‘am-mallaa  yahiddiii  ‘illaaa  ‘anyyuh-daa.  Famaa  lakum.  Kayfa  tahkumuun.

Commentary

Laa  yahiddiii – {he (himself) does not find the way}, it is an imperfect tense. Actually this word is yah-tadii. One more word has come out from the same which is ‘ahtadaa’. ‘Ahtadaa’ means “to find the way”. Laa  yahtadii (laa  yahiddiii) means “he does not find the way”.

It is commanded: Your Elders, Wisemen, Priests, Monks, the Hand of any religious order, spiritual Guides and Brahmans etc. can do nothing at their own. The Guidance is not in their power. However, after getting Guidance from God Almighty, they can guide others, not themselves.

The Children of Israel had faith in their Priests and Monks that they were their Gods. The Christians said that Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) is their God. Other idolaters determined that their religious Scholars were their Doers. They all went astray. Those entire people and particularly Muslims are being warned in this verse that their judgment is false. Except Allah Almighty; there is none; who may have power to give something to any other, to snatch anything from any individual, to cause to die or live, and guide unto the Straight Path.

There is neither any guide, nor leader and nor any director, and nor can be anyone save Allah Almighty. It is the Truth, remaining all is self-invented. Our Lord! Show and lead us unto the Straight Path. Amen.

Trust in any other than God is wrong

Surah YUUNUS - 10 (JONAH)

 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

34.  Say: Is there of your partners (whom ye ascribe unto Allah) one that produceth the first Creation and then reproduceth it? Say: Allah produceth the first Creation, then repoduceth it. How then, are ye misled!
34.  Qul  hal  min-  shura-kaaa-‘i-kum-  manyyabda-‘ul-khalqa  summa  yu-‘iiduh.  QuLillaahu  yabda-‘ul-khalqa  summa  yu-‘iiduhuu  fa-‘annaa  tu’-fakuun.

Commentary

It is behavior of maximum people of the world that they consider that the works of this world are everything. And when they are asked: Who has created this Workhouse (universe) and who has been managing it? They say: Allah has created it and He Himself has been managing, whereas; sight of their heart is focused on apparent reasons. Holy Qur’aan desires to cause to know them that trust in any other than Allah Almighty is wrong.

It has been commanded in this verse: Which you deem that some other things are occupying in the Workhouse of the world, did you ever think that whether, in the beginning, anything can create any other thing or otherwise? It is the last limit of humankind’s flight that after discovering the peculiarities of existing things, he may arrange according to them.

Actually, there are two basic things in the world – the Matter and the Power. It is not in the power of any human being that he may create any one of the both in the beginning. And while it is not in his power then it is not in the power of any other creature. Allah Almighty created them at first, and then, by their means, He created those things which have life. And none can do these both works save Him.

Then after a particular time, He will destroy them and produce again. You accept it that Allah Almighty created it in the beginning, so after its destruction, only He is; Who will reproduce it. It is required that as you admit the first matter verbally only; you should believe in it also. When you will believe in it then it will be easy to believe in the second matter, because that is consequence of the first. He can reproduce Who produced at first time.

Neither can anyone produce first time except Allah Almighty and nor again. Then from where you have brought the partners of God Almighty in this matter and which is that stage from where you went astray leaving the Straight Path?

They believe not due to their evil days - Quran Chptr 10-32&33 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1274)-درس قرآن

Quran Chptr 10-32&33 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1274)-درس قرآن

They believe not due to their evil days

Surah YUUNUS - 10 (JONAH)

 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

32.  Such then is Allah, your real Lord. After the Truth what is there saving error? How then are ye turned away!

33.  Thus is the Word of thy Lord Justified concerning those who do wrong; that they believe not.
32.  Fazaa-liku-mUllaahu  Rabbu-kumul-Haqq.  Famaa-zaa  ba’-dal-Haqqi  ‘illaz-zalaal.  Fa-‘annaa  tus-rafuun.

33.  Kazaa-lika  haqqat  Kalimatu  Rabbika  ‘alal-laziina  fasaquuu  ‘annahum  laa  yu’-minuun.

Commentary

It was described in the previous verses that only One Allah Almighty is; Who puts in order everything of the universe. It has been commanded in the above quoted verses that when it is asked from you: Who is The Supplier of the means of subsistence, Lord and Creator of the entire universe? Then you speak out at once that “Allah”. Then why do you not obey His Commandments? Behold! While Allah Almighty performs these all works, brings you up and nourishes you, then it is obvious that He is your actual Lord. It is clear from your answer that there is none in the world who may perform these entire works except Him. And there is no other duty of the things save it that for which duty those have been appointed; they should do it properly. It is error to consider someone as your Lord; if you gain your end by means of any individual. Whatever he did, was done by the commandment of Allah Almighty. Neither has he any power; nor authority. After understanding as much, it is nothing but only depravity; if you consider that someone else is your Lord except Allah Almighty.

It is surprising that after accepting the Truth, you have been going astray. Reflect for a while, what kind of conduct is it, and where is it carrying you? This intentional perverseness shows that you are enemies of yourselves and your disobedience, immortality, rebellion and insurrection has been pushing you unto infidelity. Commandment of Allah Almighty that “They believe not due to their evil days”, has been proved as correct.

Present life does not seem fit for human dignity - Quran Chptr 10-31 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1273)-درس قرآن

Quran Chptr 10-31 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1273)-درس قرآن

Present life does not seem fit for human dignity

Surah YUUNUS - 10 (JONAH)

 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Commentary

This verse explains that if human sense remained entangled in the circle of apparent causes, it did not fulfill its actual duty. Last degree of excellence of the human sense is that it should know Allah Almighty. If it remained below this level then such wisdom is still inexpert. The people who have an inexpert sense are able; on no account; that others may go forth on their established way, otherwise they will also remain deprived of obtaining human perfection like them.

It is obvious that sight of anyone does not rise up from outward material reasons in the world save chosen servants of Allah Almighty. But this distraction exists in the human nature that this apparent worldly life does not seem fit for human dignity. It is unavoidable that any other life for this purpose is necessary, in which he may fulfill his exalted and magnificent intentions without let or hindrance. A poet draws a map of human life of this world:
(Thousands of such desires; that  I  die  on  every  desire,
Many of my wishes were fulfilled but still those are many).
{Hazaaron khaahishen aysi keh har khahish pe dam niklay,
{Bahot niklay  meray  armaan  laekin  phir  bhi  kam  niklay}.

There is hesitation to say for such people as exact mankind who consider that only this world is everything. Childhood, full age, old age and then death, growing, blooming, fading and then falling, during this period, suffering, indisposition, pauperism, richness, disaster, weakness, so-called strength and so on, every condition has been proclaiming by beat of drum that the world is only the changes of fortune. If it is the whole universe of the human being then he is the most wretched animal, because other animals do here whatever they want to do. More than it; neither they wish and nor are ambitious.

But the humankind makes so much big plans that he did not start working so far according to his plan that his life time was over. He expired while his longings were in his breast. Found from it that it is demand of mankind’s greatness that he should control his desires, because field of the world is not sufficient to fulfill his wishes. He should know his Creator, abide by His prescribed Law and follow His Commandments, keep his duty unto Allah Almighty. He promises that the human being will be given one more life as retaliation of the first, which will never end, and his entire powers will remain intact with him always. He (human being) will be sent in the Gardens, where every individual will be able to fulfill his wishes without let and hindrance as his nature demands.

The existing sense is sufficient to cause to understand so much provided that; it has acquired the Light of Holy Qur’aan.

Guidance for those who fear Allah - Quran Chptr 10-31 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1272)-درس قرآن

Quran Chptr 10-31 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1272)-درس قرآن

Guidance for those who fear Allah

Surah YUUNUS - 10 (JONAH)

 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Lesson

It is commanded: If you use your sense carefully, at first; you should think about the following questions:

·       Who provides us the things which we need?

·       Who causes to rain?

·       Who causes to grow agriculture?

·       We accept that our hands and feet interfere in this matter also. But Who made us able to take work from our limbs?

·       Who gave us eyes for looking?

·       Who bestowed ear for hearing?

·       Who brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living? For example an egg, semen or seed are lifeless things. The living young of any creature comes out from it. And then the same lifeless things come out from them.

·       Then Who manages the entire universe?

·       How opposite of one another forces have been running altogether?

The human beings answered to these questions differently according to their wisdom and intellect during all times. But those people whose intellect was not covered deeply by materialism, they replied always unhesitatingly: These all works are being performed by Allah Almighty. And when skillful sense of the mankind causes to understand him the same answer; then what reason can be of it that the humankind do not go according to the prescribed Law of The Creator, Lord and Protector of the universe and do not keep their duty unto Him? Lo! This verse has settled that Allah Almighty, His Messenger (grace, blessings and peace be on Him) and His Last Book (Holy Qur’aan) are necessary for the mankind.

1.   Allah Almighty is inevitable because sense of the human being considers that any other thing of the universe cannot do these entire works except Him which have been running smoothly, on the condition that her light has not been dimmed due to external effects. But since that these all have been happening, therefore, certainly Someone exists Who have been controlling them, That is Allah Almighty Who is The Highest to the entire universe.

2.   Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, blessings and peace be on Him) is Rightful, because He is Exhibiting of the perfection of human sense, because it appears from the difference of human senses that there should be any mankind who should have best sense than other all.

3.  The Book (Holy Qur’aan) is True because there is no other thing save it which may draw attention of the human sense unto its actual work. It commands that the human being should know Allah Almighty, His Messenger (grace, blessings and peace be on Him) and the Truth of The Book (the Last Scripture). And it is its actual work. Without the guidance of The Book, mankind cannot know about the Straight Path. The Straight Path is the name of abiding by the Laws. That restriction is called “Abstinence, Fearing God”. Therefore, Holy Qur’aan described in the beginning “The guidance exists in This Book for those who are able to attain Abstinence”.

Quran Chptr 10-31 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1271)-درس قرآن

The ignorant – according to Qur’aan

Surah YUUNUS - 10 (JONAH)

 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

31.  Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Who provideth for you from the sky and the earth, or Who owneth hearing and sight; and Who bringeth forth the living from the dead and bringeth forth the dead from the living; and Who directeth the course? Then they will say: Allah. Then say: Will ye not then keep your duty (unto Him)?
31.  Qul  manyyar-zuqukum-minas-samaaa-‘i   wal-‘arzi  ‘am-manyyam-likus-sam-‘a  wal-‘ab-saara  wa  manyyukh-rijul-hay-ya  minal-may-yiti  wa  yukh-rijul-may-yita  minal-hayyi  wa  manyyu-dabbirul-‘amr.  Fasa-ya-quuluu-nAllaah.  Faqul  ‘afalaa  tatta-quun.

Lesson

‘Am-man – (or who is?), in which form this word has been written in the Holy Qur’an, in such form, there is a doubt that it is one word, but in fact, these are two separate words – “‘am” and “man”. ‘Am means “or” and man means “who”. But, when these are spoken then “m” of first word is amalgamated in the second. Then it is compounded in writing also. The universe and the occurrences of the sky and the earth have been mentioned at various places in Holy Qur’aan, and in which verses these have been stated, those verses have been ended usually on these words. ‘Afalaa  ta’-qiluun (Do you not have sense), ‘Afalaa  tas-ma-‘uun (Do you not have hearing), ‘Afalaa  tub-siruun (Do you not see).

It appears that actual work of the sense, ear, eye and knowledge of the human being is only that “he should conclude from everything of the universe, all incidents and accidents of surroundings that; Creator, Preserver and Organizer of these all things is only one Allah Almighty”. Neither has He any partner, nor supporter and nor companion. If; by studying the universe, the mankind does not reach such consequence, then his entire physical development and material progress is useless. According to Holy Qur’aan he is ignorant.

Conjecture and imagination of human being - Quran Chptr 10-29&30 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1270)-درس قرآن

Quran Chptr 10-29&30 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1270)-درس قرآن

Conjecture and imagination of human being

Surah YUUNUS - 10 (JONAH)

 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Lesson

Holy Qur’aan desires to obliterate the polytheism (belief in a plurality of God Almighty) in the world. Adoration of Allah Almighty – prayer, a fast, pilgrimage and paying the poor-due (Zakaat) has been prescribed for the purpose that the human being should remain inclined unto Allah Almighty, and should never consider that any other can supply his wants. Reflect in the previous verses. It seems clearly that the humankind is responsible himself of going astray from the Path of Allah Almighty. He wants to indemnity of his weakness with the help of felt things. His conjecture produces before him his own form as an incapable, friendless and helpless; on one side; and on the other; it terrifies him from magnificence of such things which are seen apparently as pompous and exalted. He considers that the sun, the moon, the stars, high mountains, rivers, seas and oceans, darkness and brightness, all such things are more splendid, powerful and higher than him. He bows and prostrates before them, stands begging earnestly and believes in it that they are his demi-gods; and asks them for help by spreading his hands.

Then it happens that he feels that some individuals; like him; are more powerful, some are physically and naturally stronger than him, and some are those who are superior to him due to their hidden powers. They attract him and he thinks that they will support him, and as far as possible; he tries his best to get their help. After that, when they die, he makes their statues, keeps those idols before him and begins to adore them.

In short, conjecture and imagination of the human being keeps him ensnared in astonishing meshes. To bring him out from such meshes, Allah Almighty sent His Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) from time to time. They caused to understand him during their times that there is only one treatment of your weakness, imbecility and friendless that you should draw your full attention unto The Creator of yours and the entire universe. Use your sense. Come out from superstitions.

Some intelligent people obeyed them (peace be upon them) and chose the Straight Path, whereas some were those who made them (the Prophets and Messengers – peace be upon them) own deities.

Allah Almighty sent down His Last Scripture by means of His Last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, blessings and peace be on Him) and commanded: Say to the people! Allah Almighty has revealed This Book (Holy Qur’aan) on Me for your Guidance and I am His Messenger (grace, blessings and peace be on Him). I have been instructed that I should cause to understand you the Message; which exists in this Book. Behold! There is none who have power to give you something or snatch anything from you save Allah Almighty. Strong and weak (both) are needy of Him in their own circles. Allah Almighty has given you sense, which is sufficient to cause to know you that The Owner of the entire powers and forces is only One; Allah Almighty. Know Him and worship Him. Ask Him only for help and supplicate before Him to show you the Straight Path, the Path of Those whom He has favored, and save you from the path of those who earned His anger and who went astray.

Misapprehension of idolaters - Quran Chptr 10-29&30 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1269)-درس قرآن

Quran Chptr 10-29&30 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L–1269)-درس قرآن

Misapprehension of idolaters

Surah YUUNUS - 10 (JONAH)

 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

29.  So Allah sufficeth as a witness between us and you, that we were unaware of your worship.

30.  There doth every soul experience that which it did aforetime, and they are returned unto Allah, their real Lord, and that which they used to invent hath failed them.
29.  Fakafaa  Billaahi  Shahii-dam-bayna-naa  wa  bayna-kum  ‘in-kunnaa  ‘an  ‘ibaada-tikum  lagaa-filiin.

30.  Hunaa-lika  tabluu  kullu  nafsim-maaa  ‘aslafat  wa  rud-duuu  ‘ilAllaahi  Maw-laa-hu-mul-Haqqi  wa  zalla  ‘anhum-maa  kaanuu  yaf-taruun.

Lesson

Tabluu – (will experience, see), the word balaa-‘un is also from the same kind which has been used at many places earlier. It means “experiment, test, trial and examination” whether that is by means of any calamity or blessings of heaven. Baluu means “to examine a thing by topsy-turvy carefully and know its reality”.

It is commanded: The gods of the polytheists will say to them on the Day of Resurrection! Allah is Witness that we are speaking the truth. God preserve us from it, we did never say to you that you should worship to us because we are not able to be a worshiped. Allah Almighty is Aware of our condition. He knows very well that we were not aware of it that you used to adore of us.

After hearing the above mentioned statement of their deities, the eyes of the idolaters will be opened. Then they will have no doubt in it that their Creator, Lord, God and Master is only One Allah Almighty. They will think: Choosing others as Worshiped was our misunderstanding and misapprehension. Really! They did never say! Adore to us. We are your worshiped. Moreover, they did not know that verily we have made them our worshiped. Therefore, those entire deeds which we committed due to misunderstanding, have been useless, on the contrary, those deeds have become punishment for our life today (Doomsday).

Accordingly, their all such imaginations that “such a one god works for us, so and so god is useful in this confusion” will be mixed up. Save Allah Almighty, there will be no supporter.
