Lesson

When Prophet Lot (peace be upon Him) warned the people of Sodom, they could not produce any reasonable argument in favor of their devilish act of humanity-rending. Whatever they said, that was of the same peculiarity as the nation of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon Him) said to one another being confuted, that He should be thrown into the fire. Discussing so by them was not the answer of Abraham’s Reason, but it was an admission of their transgression and persistence to stand firm on it without grounds. The same admission and persistence is found in this case also. It was told in the previous part of this verse. In this part, that indictment has been mentioned, which was charged against Lot (peace be upon Him) by His folk.

It is commanded that the folk of Lot (peace be upon Him) could not answer to His reasonable Sayings, at last, they began to say to one another, being humiliated: This Lot (peace be upon Him) and His disciples will continue to annoy us. They will not let us do easily, what we are doing or what we wish to do, so, expel them from your city, because there is only one form to shake off from them.

Then they thought: Any reason should be searched to banish them from the city, so that, we should not be accused and the responsibility of banishment should fall to their own lot. But in spite of seeking any such cause into those sincere people, they could not find any reason, punishment of which was to be exiled.

When someone is out of one’s wits, then the good seems him the bad and the bad seems the good. Whenever those people become rulers, who have such inverted scalp, they fix the good work of the good people as an offence. Abstract of their reason is nothing other than imposture and perverseness. They determine those bad habits forcibly as good, which they have adopted, although they have to be confuted in their hearts that; yes! We have bad habits.

Sometimes, it happens that they begin to consider that their base matters are really good. It means that their conscience has been dead. It was the condition of the tribe of Lot (peace be upon Him). They had been habituated to remain wet in filth and stench, and began to consider it good. Purity and chasteness had become bad thing for them. Accordingly, they decided that Lot (peace be upon Him) and His companions are culprits of remaining chaste, clean and pure. Therefore, they should be turned out from this country.

It is to think that due to which act, sense of mankind is turned over and understanding is changed, if that act is not the killer of the humanity then what is it? Do the people, who commit such evil, deserve to live? Do they consider that an oppressive wave of flight and rage has not been producing against them anywhere in the world? If these evil doers think so, then they are in a manifest error. A law is underway in the world that the result of every act will come out certainly. None can escape from its power. Here it is late, but not arbitrariness.
