Lesson
At this time,
circumstances of which people are being explained, namely the Children of
Israel, they had been trapped in the grip of the people, who were like them. Tyrant
and despotic Egyptians used to take work in labor from them by force. Prophet
Moses (peace be upon Him) said to them: You have no choice but to be patient. Moreover,
you should understand that certainly, there is a Strong Supporter of yours. He
is Creator and Manager of this entire world. He has made Pharaoh and his people
powerful at this time due to His own Philosophy. The aim from it is that you
should incline toward Allah Almighty being helpless, implore earnestly and
humbly before Him, and beg for His help by producing your humility. There is no
doubt in it that in such condition, it is the only device, which is efficacious
surely. But there is a need of patience in it.
Accordingly, Prophet
Moses (peace be upon Him) said to his people that they should ask God Almighty
for help and be patient in this time of trouble. The Children of Israel confused
due to advice of Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) and requested fearfully: O
Moses (peace be upon Him): we suffered hurt before your coming unto us and now,
while you have come, we have been suffering continuously that our sons would be
slain as soon as they will be born, so that we may be annihilated. Is there any
limit of patience? How much should we be patient?
Prophet Moses
(peace be upon Him) commanded them after hearing: Don’t lose your courage.
Strengthen your hearts. You will behold very soon that your adversary is ruined
and destroyed and entire power and control has been handed over to you at his
place, so that you are provided opportunity to work and observed: Which ways
are adopted by you when you have power and control? Whether you become tyrant
and blood-thirsty being in a rapture like Pharaoh or by doing works of
humanity, you dwell with comfort and keep others too dwelling in peace and
ease?
Prophet Moses
(peace be upon Him) is going to cause to understand His nation that every kind
of happenings come over the nations in the world like distress and easing,
affliction and relief, strength and weakness etc. These all conditions are for
examining the mankind. Human being is that who recognize Allah Almighty in all
conditions, develop own relationship with Him, and consider that comfort and
relaxation, distress and calamities etc. are transitory. Neither should he
forget Allah Almighty in comfort and nor be careless from His remembrance in
calamity.
