Upon
me be my crimes
Surah Huud (Hud) - 11
BisMillaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
34. My counsel will not profit you if I intend
to advise you, if Allah’s will is to keep you astray. He is your Lord. And
unto Him ye will be brought back.
35. Or say they (again): He hath forged it?
Say: If I have forged it, upon me be my crimes, but I am clear of (all) that
ye commit.

Commentary
At first, Messenger Noah (peace be upon him) said: Bringing the wrath
or otherwise is in the power of Allah Almighty. He will send if He will. But
when it will come, then full misfortune will come upon you. No part of the
world will be able to provide you protection. It has been known from your
insistence and arrogance that you would never come unto the Right Path. These
signs have been showing clearly that if intention of Allah Almighty is to keep
you astray, then advising to you by Me (peace be upon him) is useless.
Every individual is helpless before the intention of Allah Almighty. He
is your Lord and you all will be brought back unto Him. Which circumstances of
the folk of Noah (peace be upon him) have been described in Holy Qur’an,
the same condition was of the people of Makkah. They also used to evade
from admitting the teachings of Islam in the same way. When last Messenger of
Allah Almighty, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) caused
to hear them the circumstances of Noah (peace be upon him); they began to cry
in these words: After hearing our answers, you have forged and included it in Qur’an.
About it, in the next verse, it has been commanded: Say to them! You
should understand the fact that disobedience of Allah Almighty and opposing Him
is not good for you. If I have forged it, then I am responsible of wrongdoing
committed by Me (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), but which you
continue holding out falsely for putting off the Truth, it is a great and
unforgivable crime. I am clear of (all) that you commit.
