Arrangement for the life after death

Chapter “Hajj” – (The Pilgrimage) - 22

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim. 
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

 يَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُۥ وَمَا لَا يَنفَعُهُۥ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُٱلْبَعِيدُ 12

 يَدْعُوا۟ لَمَن ضَرُّهُۥٓ أَقْرَبُ مِن نَّفْعِهِۦ لَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَلَبِئْسَ ٱلْعَشِيرُ 13  

12.  He calleth, beside Allah, unto that which hurteth him not nor benefiteth him. That is the far error. 13.  He calleth unto him whose harm is nearer than his benefits; verily an evil patron and verily an evil friend!

12.  Uad-‘uu  min-  duuNillaahi  maa  laa  yazurruhuu  wa  maa  laa  yanfa-‘uh.  Zaalika  huwaz-zalaalul-  ba-‘iid. 13.  Yad-‘uu  laman  zarru-huuu  ‘aqrabu  min- naf-‘ih.  Labi’-sal-  mawlaa  wa  labi’-sal-  ‘ashiir.

Commentary

The person who makes the religion obedient of own wishes, he can never arrange for his life after death i.e. the Hereafter. Eventually he is disgraced and distressed even in the world. As he has forgotten Allaah Almighty, so at the time of necessity he will call someone else for help. It is demand of his nature that he should seek support of any other in problems; make any person friend; patron and helper of himself, trust in him and discuss own difficult matters with him during adversity.

Human sense says that only he can be friend and patron during evil days who knows his case and has power to help him in all circumstances. No such person can be in the world save Allaah Almighty. While he has forsaken Allaah Almighty, then to whom will he call for help now?

It is commanded: To whom will he call except Allaah Almighty, he will be weak, impotent and feeble; who will neither be able to benefit and nor hurt. One should think that how much great apostasy is this; and how far this stupid act will throw him from the truth?

The people, who make idols and adore them or become slaves of own wishes, (which means that they should dwell as the disciples of Satan,) thinking about them that those can benefit; is imaginary only, but the harm is entirely real and true. To whom will you choose for friend or patron save Allaah Almighty, will be an evil patron and an evil friend.
