Commentary
Behold now! What more has been filled in this
verse? It contains total fourteen words, but those words have been set in such
order that a sensible person will begin to move his head up and down after
hearing. The question is very clear and fluency of composition is very
wonderful. Sketch of Prophet Jacob’s (peace be upon him) domestic life comes in
front of eyes. His children and wives live altogether with peace and harmony.
They do not trouble one another with or without reason. But Jacob (peace be
upon him) feels due to presumptions that His more kindness for Joseph is not
liked by elder brothers of Joseph (peace be upon him). Prophet Jacob (peace be
upon him) considers that human passions are a door of devilish temptations and
He knows that these temptations are very effective on youngsters during early
age.
In such condition, Satan gets opportunity; he
excites them to commit any such work which would be harmful for themselves or
others in future. Therefore, after hearing the dream of Joseph (peace be upon
him), He (Jacob - peace be upon him) gives an alarm to Him that “You should
never repeat contents of your dream before any member of the family”.
We should learn from it that from which matter;
there is threat of disturbance, we should never spread it among the people, but
we should be quiet in such matter. Moreover, we should abstain from such things
or amusements which may excite our desires. Dangerous passions are jealousy,
violence, lust, greed and arrogance. Escaping from such things, which induce
them, is a manner of fortunate people.
