Commentary
It was commanded in the previous lesson that
on the Day of Resurrection, the people will be divided in two separate groups
and they will be dealt with entirely separately. One of the two groups will go in
the Garden and the other will enter into the Hell. Those who believed in Allaah Almighty and did good works; will
be sent to the Garden, but Deniers of the Commandments of Allaah Almighty and Disbelievers of the Hereafter will be thrown into
the Hell. Therefore, if you desire to go into the Garden and do not wish to be
included in the group of the Hell, then you should believe in Allaah Almighty and do good works. The
best good work is worship of Allaah
Almighty.
In these verses, its way has been described.
Because Islam is the Religion of Abraham (peace be upon him), so particular
times of worship have been prescribed the same, in which Abraham (peace be upon
him) denied to believe that greatest glittering globe of this world, that is to
say, the sun illuminating the world was a god; by observing the changes in its
positions. Apparent changes are seen in it during the times of morning and
evening, after midday (declining of the sun) and afternoon; that is to say; the
last part of the day. The same times have been determined by means of prayer for
admitting that Allaah Almighty is the
Real God; and for declaring that He is the Greatest and Most Magnificent. So we
should acknowledge by our tongues, hearts and movements particularly during these
times that Allaah Almighty is the
Omnipotent and the Incomparable.
