helpmates from yourselves that ye might find rest in them, and He ordained
between you love and mercy. Lo! Herein indeed are Portents for folk who
reflect.

Commentary
Tantashiruuna – (, scattered, dispersed,
ranged widely), this word is from ‘intishaar, origin of which is nashrun.
Nashrun means “to spread, to disperse far and wide”. ‘Intishaar means
“dispersion, scattering”.
It was commanded previously: Deliverance of mankind depends on it that
he should know Allaah Almighty and worship Him. The person who will do
so, his abode will be green Garden; otherwise will be thrown into the Hell.
In these verses, it is commanded: Knowing Allaah Almighty is not
too much difficult. There are many things in the world which cannot be made by
the mankind and there are many such matters which are not in the power of human
being. Meditate in these matters and think: While the mankind did not do these
works then who did? After it, necessarily he would have to admit Allaah
Almighty. The same are His Portents, by observing of which he cannot disbelieve
in Allaah Almighty. One from those Tokens is that at first He created a man
from the dust. Then human beings dispersed in the entire world as creatures
with open bodies, without having wool or garment on their bodies.
One more Sign is that Allaah Almighty created his mate (wife)
also from his kind, so that he might not be confused by feeling himself single,
but might live along with his wife comfortably. And Allaah Almighty
placed natural love and mercy between both of them. It is easy to know Allaah
Almighty for them who reflect in these Portents.
