Reproducing mankind is not difficult

Chapter “Saaaffaat” - (Those who set the Ranks) – 37

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ 10  فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍۭ 11  

                                       

10.  Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 11.  Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay.

10.  ‘Illaa  man  khatifal-khatfata  fa-‘atba-‘ahuu  shihaabun  saaqib. 11.  Fastaftihim  ‘ahum  ‘ashaddu  khalqan  ‘amman  khalaqNaa.  ‘Innaa  khalaqNaahum-min  tiinil-laazib.

Commentary

Khatifa – (snatched by theft), it is past tense from the word khatfun, which means “to snatch during running away”. The aim from the word khatfatun is “to snatch some words by theft”.

It is commanded: The Angels (peace be upon them) drive the Devils away by throwing cannon balls of shining stars towards them, so that they may not hear secret conversation of the Exalted Chiefs of Angels. These are Meteors, that is to say, the twinkling stars which are seen flashing and following them. It is the arrangement of Allaah Almighty so that the Devils may not include wrong into right.

After that, it is commanded: Ask from these people who do not believe in coming back to life again after death: You know that We created skies, earth, stars, souls, angels and devils including all creatures, can creating all such things be difficult or creating all of you? Certainly reproducing the mankind is not too much difficult contrary to so much great things. We prepared the body of human beings from sticky and plastic clay in the beginning, then cast soul into it. After death its body will be mixed up in the clay again. And then again We shall prepare his body from the same clay and recast soul into it. And he will stand up again after coming to life. It is not difficult for the Divine Power of Allaah Almighty. Believe it that He will do so.
