Plurality and its painful punishment
Chapter “Shu-‘araaa’”- (The Poets) - 26
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah
from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)
What the power have the Devils (Genii of misguided class and
human spirits associating with them; constitute the Devils Community) that they
may enter in the Screen of Unseen? Cinders rain upon them from the Invisible
who desire to know some News by reaching near; and they run away. Those who
cannot distinguish between Managed Word like Qur’an and Broken Sentences
of Augurs (Kaahin), they have lost their wits.
Immediately succeeding, it has been commanded to the Messenger
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): Calling others or self-fabricated
gods instead of or along with Allaah Almighty is such a destructive act
that anguishes will certainly come as its punishment. Having hope of salvation
from punishment after such act, is vain imaginations. It is such misfortune
that if suppose (which is impossible), any greatest and consecrated person as
the last Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace
be upon him) himself has been involved in it (Allaah forbid), he too
cannot be saved from the punishment of that unbelief. Nothing can come in the
way between plurality and its painful torment. There is only one form of safety
from the wrath of Allaah Almighty that none should be made a partner of
Him or in His any Epithet.
O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): It
is compulsory for you that you should worship Allaah Almighty only for
teaching of the people the lesson of His Oneness, and call not any other save
Him. Then spread the teaching concerning pure doctrine of His Oneness among the
people in such a way that you should frighten clearly at first to your
household and close relatives from bad consequences of paganism and infidelity.
Treat them with kindness who listen to you and obey you, so that the Muslims
may learn from you the way of good conduct mutually among themselves, and
become a good example for the entire people of the world by acting upon the
principles of Islam friendly and with concurrence.
The Muslims have been informed about the way of living in this
world, by those commandments, which have been mentioned in these verses. And correct
way of teaching to others has been explained. At first you should adopt that
way of conduct completely which you wish to teach others. Then you should guide
your near relatives and companions towards that way. When you yourself, your near
relatives and companions will set up on that way which you desire to teach,
then other sensible and intelligent people will begin to draw their attention
naturally by looking your good habits, good manners, good mutual behavior and
disentangled matters.
