Moses said unto his household: Lo! I spy afar off a fire; I will bring you tidings
thence, or bring to you a burning brand that ye may warm yourselves.

it, he was called, saying: Blessed is Whosoever is in the fire and Whosoever
is round about it! And Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!

Commentary
It was commanded earlier that you should let the worldly people
do their worldly works. They have gone astray, do useless and absurd works. O
Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)! You receive the Qur’an,
which is a Book of high dignity, from Allaah Almighty Who is Aware of
all philosophies and Knower of all matters. In Holy Qur’an, there are
all such commandments which are useful for the mankind for always. You will
find from it those Blessings which are ready for those people who believe in
the life after death and the Day of Resurrection, and those afflictions which
are ready for those who disbelieve. The End of wrongdoers is not good even in
this world too as it is evident from the story of Moses (peace be upon him) and
Pharaoh.
Listen! When Moses (peace be upon him) was passing along with his family through Holy Valley during night
hours, weather was very cold and they forgot the path also in the darkness. Moses
(peace be upon him) looked around and said to his household: I see a light
which seems burning fire. I go there. I will ask concerning the path if I found
someone, otherwise I will come back along with a burning charcoal, so that you may warm yourselves. But when he came to it
(seeming the fire), he was called, "This is Bright Fire, of which this Light
is. Blessed is Whosoever is at the Fire and whoever is around it (you). And Exalted
is Allah Almighty, Who is the Lord of the Worlds. He shows His Splendor in the
form of Light and Fire, but He Himself is Pure and Superior to all such things.
