An Order – (2)

Chapter “YAA-SIIIN” - (YASIN) – 36

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

22.  And for what cause should I not serve Him Who hath created me, and unto Whom ye will be brought back?

23.  Shall I take (other) gods in place of Him when, if the Beneficent should wish me any harm, their intercession will avail me naught, nor can they save?

24.  Then truly I should be in error manifest.
(PART 23)

Commentary

The man, who came running from the farthest end of the city, said to himself; but his aim was to cause to hear others: How can it be that I should choose others as my deities; leaving Allaah Almighty Who created me; while my senses are accurate, whereas at last all of us have to return to Him? What answer of our arrogance shall we give Him at that time? Think for awhile! What is the use of such gods who are neither able to intercede and save me from sorrow and pain sent by the Beneficent, and nor they themselves have so much power that they may get relieved? How can such deities be useful for us who cannot help us in any matter? Why should we not worship That Beneficent and Merciful Allaah before Whom no one can speak, none can relieve him whom Allaah Almighty desires to give pain and none can afflict him whom Allaah Almighty intends to comfort. If I shall choose any helpless, lifeless and feeble creature as a deity and leave the Most Powerful, the Almighty, the Beneficent and the Most Merciful Allaah, then certainly I will be involved in such manifest error; reality of which is entirely clear.
