Ah, the anguish for the bondmen!

Chapter “YAA-SIIIN” - (YASIN) – 36

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

يَٰحَسْرَةً عَلَى ٱلْعِبَادِ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ 30  أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ 31  وَإِن كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ 32

                                       

30.  Ah, the anguish for the bondmen! Never came there unto them a messenger but they did mock him! 31.  Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them, which indeed returned not unto them? 32.  And all, without exception, will be brought before Us.

30.  Yaa-hasratan  ‘alal-‘ibaad.  Maa  ya’-tiihim-mir-rasuulin  ‘illaa  kaanuu  bihii  yastahzi-‘uun. 31.  ‘Alam  yaraw  kam  ‘ahlakNaa  qablahum-minal-quruuni  ‘an-nahum  ‘ilayhim  laa  yarji-‘uun. 32.  Wa  ‘in  kullul-lammaa  jamii-‘ul-ladayNaa  muhzaruun. (Section 2)

Commentary

Yaa-hasratan – (Ah, How regretful), in Arabic Idiom, the word Yaa is used before every such thing, towards which special attention is required to be drawn, as though they are calling it.

It is commanded: Human beings are slaves of Allaah Almighty but they grip up their loins on His disobedience which is very regretful. When they will come to know the Truth after death, then they will weep and cry. At that time; they will get nothing save grief and repentance. Presently they have been enjoying their lives pleasantly instead of thinking. Alas! Many of the Prophets (peace be upon them) came for their guidance but they used to ridicule them, ignored their advice and did never care.

At last; they were tormented due to their wicked deeds. Today their names and signs have been erased from the earth; who used to mock the Messengers and Prophets (peace be upon them). We cause to hear you their circumstances; so that you should take warning from them. Did these people not meditate still in this matter that those people deserved destruction due to punishment of their evil deeds and arrogance. It was the reason that We ruined most of ancient folks. None of them will return now in this world. These people should learn from their circumstances, otherwise their consequence will also be the same. Listen to it carefully that the disobedient will never get comfort even after death. Certainly the entire guilty people will have to come before Us seized and will find very severe torment of the Doomsday.
