Surah Baniii
‘Israaa-‘iil (The Children of Israel
‘A-‘uu-zu
Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

ذَٰلِكَ مِمَّآ أَوْحَىٰٓإِلَيْكَ رَبُّكَ مِنَ ٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتُلْقَىٰ فِى جَهَنَّمَ مَلُومًا مَّدْحُورًا 39
|
39. This is (part) of
that wisdom wherewith thy Lord hath inspired thee (O Muhammad). And set not up
with Allah any other god, lest thou be cast into Hell, reproved, abandoned.

39. Zaalika mimmaaa
‘awhaaa ‘ilayka Rabbuka
minal-hikmah. Wa laa
taj-‘al ma-‘Allaahi ‘ilaahan
‘aakhara fatulqaa fii
Jahannama maluumam-mad-huuraa.

Commentary
Mad-huuran – (abandoned, withdrawn from a
post), this word is “passive/past participle” from dah-run, which means
“to cast by shoving, to take away pushing by force”.
It has been commanded in this verse: O Messenger
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)! It is compulsory for the
mankind to live a successful life that he should abide by these principles, but
the sense of every human being is not enough for discovering them, because
usually it remains engaged in apprehension of the lust of the world, and the
sensuality of the world is such hindrance in the way of wisdom that it does not
let the sense think correctly.
On the other side, Satan also has been pursuing the
mankind closely in spite of everything. Therefore, Allah Almighty has unfolded
the matters of prudence upon His chosen servants by means of Divine Inspiration.
These people were Messengers (peace be upon them) of God Almighty, the Last of
which succession is Muhammad, the last Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him).
In this verse, it is being informed to him {the
last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)}: We have sent
unto you chosen commands from the matters of sagacity; by means of Divine
Revelation. Worldly life of every individual will be correct by acting upon
these Commands, but it is the demand of the wisdom that thinking only about the
world is not suitable. Therefore, along with these habits and manners, you
should believe also in Allah Almighty, so that your Hereafter too become good,
otherwise; if you did not reflect in life of the Hereafter and corrected your
manners and habits only for the good of this world, then; verily your life of
this world will be correct, but you will not be in peace and comfort on the Day
of Resurrection because of having not belief in Allah Almighty.
Therefore, it is general announcement that every
person should follow the last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be
upon him), believe that God Almighty is the One Worshipped; and that there is
no other god but Allah Almighty, otherwise disbelievers will be disgraced in
the life after death and they will be thrown into the Hell; abandoned.
