‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah
from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)
5. Proclaim their real
parentage; that will be more equitable in the Sight of Allah. But if ye know
not their fathers, then (they are) your brethren in the Faith, and your
clients. And there is no sin for you in the mistakes that ye make
unintentionally, but what your hearts purpose (that will be a sin for you).
And Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Merciful.

Commentary
It is commanded: You heard their sayings that “a man had two
hearts, which were reason of his bad habits, so he was innocent”. It is contrary
to the fact. Now Allaah Almighty commands: Listen and behold it! They establish
their deeds on false words. Therefore result of their deeds will be bad in
natural course and consequently it will bloom. You recited that Allaah
Almighty has not assigned two hearts in the body of any mankind. Everybody has
only one heart, so every wrongdoer will suffer the consequences of his wicked
deeds.
Listen now! Adopted children will be called by the names of
their real fathers, otherwise you will be guilty of injustice and willing or
not willing, you will be entangled in difficulties. If you don’t know about their
fathers, then they are still your brothers in
religion and close supporters. However, if you made unintentionally someone son
of a man who is not his father, then there is no blame upon you. But if you did
so intentionally, then it is a sin for you. And its result can be cause of
producing troubles in practical life.
Behold! Ever is Allaah Almighty
Forgiving and Merciful, He will forgive your mistakes by His Mercy, if you repent
from doing wrong.
