Commentary
The most difficult but necessary work for the mankind in the
world is that he should know so much about conditions and peculiarities of such
things which exist in the world and which relate to him that he may carry into effect
his purpose by means of them, because many of them are such things that his
every step will go wrong in the world if he does not know about them perfectly
and is unaware of his relationship with them. For manifesting the same mutual
relations, Allaah Almighty sent His Prophets (peace be upon them) in the
world and bestowed His Scriptures to them, so that the mankind may acquire
correct faith and engage in doing good works.
Concerning the Prophets (peace be upon them), it has been
commanded in this verse: Reason of their status higher than common people is
that Allaah Almighty has taken from them a solemn Covenant that they
will describe the mankind true and real matters unselfishly. It is commanded: O
Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): We took from you and the determined Prophets {Noah, Abraham,
Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them)} before
you their solemn Covenant that they will try to guide Our servants towards the Belief
and lead them towards the Right Path. At the end, We shall question about their
purity, replenish the true people and their followers with gifts and honors,
but punish the disbelievers and disobedient people with a painful Doom.
