Consider seriously before making a treaty

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

Commentary

It is commanded: That is not strength which is acquired by breaking the principles of morality. Actual strength is “Moral Strength”. This strength cannot be obtained by making treaty of alliance with someone. In the world, reason of circumstances regarding antagonism among individuals and nations, is due to the Will of Allah Almighty. He desires to examine your ethics by this means, and observes also that “how and how much can you use your sense. Your sense will inform you that you should consider seriously before making a treaty of alliance with any one. Purpose of treaty should not be to reap more worldly advantages, but your aim should be that “we both shall correct the circumstances of each other collectively and mutually, and every individual will be able to get necessities of life easily”. Morality will describe you that when once you will make a mutual agreement after deep consideration for correcting the circumstances of every individual, then you should accomplish it as long as it seems that other party is dealing fair. In such condition you should not break the treaty at your own (for being strong by making agreement with another party and getting your meaning by pressing down the weak).

The summary is that the aim of making treaty of alliance with a party should not be to surmount over any other, but actual object of agreement should be welfare of the mankind. It is the reason that Allah Almighty has made conditions of all human beings different from one another to observe: whether the people keep the standard of morality in front or only for pressing down the weak people; they keep friendship with strong people and make new treaty of alliance selfishly by breaking the old one.

Remember it that Allah Almighty shall explain to you on the Day of Resurrection about your deeds and intentions, and the people of good and bad intentions will be distinguished separately and clearly.
