Lesson

A very important matter has been discussed in this verse, summary of which is that painful misfortune against evil deeds does not remain limited only for the evil livers, but it besieges other people also. Therefore, everyone should try to abstain from them in each condition. Two lessons exist in it for us:
·       If someone has committed any sin due to ignorance in remoteness from society, he/she should repent mutely, acknowledge of sin and apologize before God Almighty, and intend strongly that he/she will commit it never in future. If he/she is true in repentance and intent of not committing the sin again, then Allah Almighty will forgive him/her. He/she should not speak about suck works in front of any other, lest either that individual who heard; begin to think about the same sin to commit or that individual, who committed it, is punished due to acceptance. He/she should keep own matter with Allah Almighty only because in fact He was looking at the spot.

·       One should be saved oneself from committing any open sin; as well as save others also, because if any evil spread due to any person, entire community will be punished. And if the wrath of God Almighty came, would come over all the people of that place, on the evil doer because he committed; and on other people because “why did they not prevent him?” Therefore it is a duty of every person that they should keep themselves away from the evil deeds and prevent others too.
Clearly known from it that those people who influence upon others; for example parents, teachers, spiritual guides, leaders, scholars and preachers etc. they should refrain particularly from sins and evil deeds because certainly the people will do the same whatsoever they will observe doing them. When they will cause to understand the people; they will say “while you do it also then why do you prevent us?” Therefore, parents, teachers, spiritual guides, leaders, scholars and preachers etc. have to pass their life very carefully, so that the people should not be entangled in wrong doing by making their excuse.

There is a very strict warning in this verse. It is commanded: Behold! Pass your life carefully, otherwise; if the wrath came due to evil deeds, that will fall on both kinds of people i.e. evil doers and those who did not commit any evil. At the end it is commanded that seizure of Allah Almighty is very severe. Therefore you should manage such arrangement that the people should fear from committing any sin or wicked deed, otherwise; all of you will suffer retribution even if a few people committed.

Those people, due to whom; bad traditions are instituted or there is a fear of their spreading, they should recite this verse again and again.
