Lesson

It was commanded in the previous verse that God Almighty has determined to spread His Light, though the foolish people, who do not believe in Allah Almighty, do not consider it necessary. Moreover, they perceive it disruptive in their freedom. Even then, God Almighty shall spread it. Its reason is that; as an eye needs light for looking, just like this, human sense needs a particular Light for working properly. Such matter has been narrated in this verse that “what this Light is and how it has been spread?”

It is commanded that this Light is for looking such Path which has been confirmed for going on naturally for the human being. There are many other random paths which the people have fixed by the personal internal and innate power of working by their wisdom. But the Straight Path cannot be known only with the sense and wisdom. For this purpose, God Almighty sent His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) in the world, giving Him Knowledge of the Right Path. And that Knowledge has been placed in the Verses of Holy Qur-‘aan.

This Holy Qur-‘aan is the Light and the Guidance. When the sense will behold around itself in the Light of Holy Qur-‘aan, then it will find clearly the Straight Path and choose that Path; leaving all other paths. The name of that Path is “the Religion of Truth”. As Holy Qur-‘aan is the Guidance and the Light for the human sense, in this Light; intellect will see the True Path “the Religion of Truth” prominent and overcoming in the middle of all other paths.

The Idolaters; who do not want to take work from this Light, on the contrary, they wish to put it out, they are in the darkness. This Path is not visible to them. Their wisdom searches and sorts out the paths for them from hither and thither, and they like any of those paths. They do not accept the Guidance of God’s Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) i.e. Holy Qur-‘aan.

However, they accept it or dislike, it is equal. Those people who have eyes, they see such things in this Light; which cannot be seen by others, who see in the darkness with their artificial lights. The Religion of Truth is the Light of God Almighty and that is safe in the Holy Qur-‘aan. Sayings (Ahaadith) of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) are means of Its spreading.
