Commentary

Laa  ta’-du – (should not turn), it is feminine negative tense from the word ‘ad-wa, which means “to run, to go at any other place; leaving the present”.

Furutaa – (to be unbecoming, to be irrational), furutan means “crossing all limits, improper”. It aims that they are arrogant more than enough”. Moreover it is an adjective i.e. they have crossed the limits.

Some disobedient people said to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): If You will put the poor and distressed people aside from you then rich and prosperous people will come unto You. Tidy people and those who wear glittering clothes cannot sit along with these dirty and ill-clothed people. To cause to hear them, it is being commanded that Allah Almighty does not like boasters and those who are proud. Wealth and property, rank and dignity are nothing before Him. He likes only such people who are ready to obey His commandments for His pleasure. He does not value adorning, pomp and show of the world.

The arrogant, slaves of desires and haughty people are not able to be given any importance. Their hearts are careless from the Remembrance of Allah Almighty. The Truth has come from your Lord. The people who will, let them believe, and the people who will, let them disbelieve.
