127. And whenever a Surah is revealed, they begin to look at one another (as who should say): Doth anybody see you? Then they turn away. Allah has turned away their hearts because they are a folk who understand not.

Condition of maximum people
Lesson # 1160 from Holy Qur-’aan
Condition of maximum people
Surah ‘TAWBAH or BARAAA-‘AH (REPENTANCE) – Chapter – 9)
Stage – 2, Verse –127 of 129, Section – 16 of 16 (Part – 11)
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful
One kind of behavior of the Hypocrites with Muslims has been described in this verse. It was commandment for the Muslims that they should not molest any person save those who use force openly against them; moreover, they should do acts of kindness with all and forgive their errors and omissions, and consider that they are not aware of the reality. And they have adopted the wrong path leaving Islam due to ignorance.
These are the teachings of Islam without any doubt. But along with it, Islam teaches that you should remain watchful, so that the people may not dare to harm; being courageous; due to forbearance of the Muslims. Therefore, their entire wickedness have been opened in the verses of Holy Qur’aan and their tokens have been explained, so that the Muslims should not be deceived, and remain informed of their tricks.
One habit of the Hypocrites has been described in this verse, from which their ill-will is visible clearly. It is commanded that when those people attend any assembly of Muslims and any Revelation is revealed on the Messenger (grace, gory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and He causes to hear the audience by reciting, then true Muslims listen to it attentively, and whatever is commanded, they commit it to their mind.
But listening to the Verses of Holy Qur’aan is unpleasant to the Hypocrites, particularly when it has been revealed about their bad habits. They wish to move off from that place silently and indicate one to another mutually themselves that, whenever nobody see you, you should slip away by avoiding noticing. Therefore, when they all look for an opportunity, steal away one by one, and turning from conference, they move off.
Allah Almighty does not care for such kind of people. He turns their hearts from good manners due to punishment of such deeds. While they do not desire to hear about the Guidance and Straight Path, want to remain fallen in stupidity, then Allah Almighty does not show the Straight Path to any such person forcibly.
Condition of maximum people is still the same even today that until in the assembly, matters of jokes, laughter, fun and amusement have been running, they stay with much fondness, but when the discussion regarding correction of character and morality begins, thoughtlessness begins to appear on their faces, and as soon as they find any opportunity, run away.
